Human Relations

Human Relations brings together long-term projects exploring how people connect, coexist and reveal themselves through gestures, rituals, work, play and shared spaces. Across different cultures and contexts, photography becomes a way of observing the fragile, resilient and often unexpected relationships that shape human presence.

The Last Ritual

Young men playing football on a field in South Africa at sunset. A player stands in the foreground while long shadows stretch across the grass beneath the surrounding mountains.

A child wearing a white theatrical mask walks beside a carousel while another child, riding a carousel horse, looks toward the masked child. Families and visitors gather around the fairground, with colourful rides and mountains in the background.

Visitors sit and stand on the rocky edge of Table Mountain overlooking the landscape. A woman wearing a long hooded garment stands apart from the group, holding a wide-brimmed hat against a dark infrared sky.

Portrait of a mature islander during a family celebration on the Greek island of Leros (Dodecanese) . His proud gaze and upright posture convey strength and dignity.
