Bio

Giuseppe Potente is an Italian photographer whose practice develops through long-term projects exploring human relationships, memory and perception, as well as matter, energy and their continuous transformations. Moving between documentary observation and experimental research, he uses photography to question appearances and reveal unexpected relationships within the visible world.

His work ranges from observations of human behaviour and social interaction to investigations of natural forms, light, water and matter. Across this apparent diversity, his projects share a sustained interest in transformation, ambiguity and the connections between people, nature and the physical world.

Developed over several decades and across different geographical and cultural contexts, his photographic research has been presented through exhibitions, publications and photobooks and has received international recognition.
