Notes on the Origin of the Work

 

This text does not explain the work.
It traces some of its origins.

The “ Primary Energy “ Page clearly outlines the development from Galaxies to Mass&Energy and finally Defrost. This is an impeccable presentation, but it doesn't reflect my personal creative genesis: faced with the tension of global warming, I began the internationally recognized "Ice & Ikebana" project in 2022, recently renamed Defrost. For two years, I continued that initial project, focusing more on the genius loci, according to the Japanese Ikebana tradition, but in 2024, I realized that the problem of global warming and climate change was only one aspect of my life, and I had the intuition "Galaxies" and, at the same time, "Diving African Masks," a sort of connection between the Cosmos and my unconscious, a Jungian intuition.

The masks were not found.
They appeared.
