Diving African Masks

Diving African Masks explores latent forms hidden within photographed reality. Starting from images of stones shaped by water, light and movement along the seashore, the project combines photography and artificial intelligence to reveal faces that seem already present within the material world.

Rather than documenting masks or inventing them from nothing, the work investigates the meeting point between perception, photography and transformation, where new realities emerge from forms embedded in matter.
