Almost forgotten, in the cauldron of tourist consumerism and the zoo effect which is an effect of globalization, the Himba are back in the limelight since in 2020 the project of the dam on the Kunene River -- dating back to 2008 and put on hiatus in 2015 - - was resumed: the dam would flood the areas where their flocks have been grazing for hundreds of years. The interests of a small minority - - between southern Angola and northern Namibia, very grossly estimated between 12,000 and 25,000 - - will certainly not arrest those of powerful economic organizations.
It is therefore very likely that photographing them is like photographing an endangered species.

Welcome to my photography portfolios, where my passion for fine art and global humanistic education converge. My photography spans a diverse range from evocative reportage to captivating abstract images. All my most recent visual art projects (2022-2025) revolve around what many consider “The Problem” of Global Warming , regardless of its possible causes, and the key element of our life, water :
"
Iced Ikebanas " arises from the phenomenon of accelerated melting of glaciers;" Hungry  " refers to the mutations induced by climate change in wild animals;" Mass & Energy/Big Bang " and " Neural Nets " arise from the desire for our necessary return to a deeper immersion in the natural world around us, giving maximum attention to the synergy of water-air-earth synthesized in mass-waves; finally, "Diving Masks "wants to surrealistically evoke the looming epilogue of our departure from our origins, towards a new Universal Flood.
